IICD own entrance, Also accepting other NLTs for BDesign admission

Indian Institute of Crafts and Design (IICD), an innovative, first-of-its-kind public-private partnership institute set up by the Government of Rajasthan, focussed on the craft sector, is accepting applications till 31 March for its Entrance Exam for B.Design admissions in 2026.

Acceptance of UCEED/ NIFT/ NID 2026 test score: Candidates who have qualified and are having a valid selection letter from UCEED / NIFT / NID -2026 can appear directly for Personal Interview (no need to take IICD entrance test).

Course offered by IICD: 4-Year (8 semesters) B.Design with following specialization options:

(a) Soft Material Design

(b) Hard Material Design

(c) Fired Material Design

(d) Fashion Clothing Design

(e) Jewellery Design

(f) Crafts Communication

(g) Interior Design

Selection Process

Entrance Tests (Part A & B) followed by a Personal Interview.

Students from across India are eligible.

Imp notes about mode of entrance test

a) Your Admit Card cum question paper will be available for download on or after 5 Apr 2026.

b) According to the question paper, responses must be submitted on or before the given time period in the question paper. For any clarification, candidates may whatsapp at 9460673297. Please mention the applicants name and course name before sending the queries.

c) Personal interview (approx. 20 minutes) will be conducted 1 May 2026 onwards via whatsapp. Exact date and time will be communicated in the admit card of the applicants by 5th April 2026 (Sunday). Personal interview will be conducted for a period of around 20minutes. Applicant will get a call from the IICD examiner team on the given time on there registered whatsapp number. During the interview applicant must keep the submitted art work / portfolio with them.
